I congratulate BAPS Charities Australia for holding the In the Joy of Others Walkathon 2026 at Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside.

BAPS Charities Australia harnesses the efforts and the spirit of volunteers to serve our community in areas ranging from the environment to education, from empowerment to health and wellness.

Western Sydney BAPS also works with other community organisations in providing blankets and food donations to vulnerable people, as well as scholarships to provide opportunities to the next generation. Their work is informed by their Hindu spiritual values, putting their faith into action.

Nearly 400 attendees of all ages and from all walks of life participated in the walkathon to raise funds to support BAPS Charities Australia in its endeavours.

In particular, I thank Jai Desai and Rutul Patel for organising the fundraiser and for their enormous hospitality. I thank BAPS Charities Australia for its contribution to our community.
